PPMS President, Mr. Matthew Morris attended the annual NIH Children’s Inn Gala and Auction to benefit sick children and their families. The NIH Chidren’s Inn offers a “place like home” for seriously ill children and their families, who are visiting NIH to undergo treatment for their life-threatening diseases. Because The Inn does not receive any appropriated funds, it relies entirely on the generosity of outside donors like Bethesda AFCEA. Each year, AFCEA Bethesda chapter sponsors an annual gala and other fundraising events and donates the proceeds to The Children’s Inn. This year PPMS donated items for the auction which brought in over $1m in donations to support the Inn.
“I was honored to sit at the head table with two remarkable children who spoke to over 1200 people attending the event. In their own words they described how important the Inn is to them and their families during the most difficult times imaginable. There wasn’t a dry eye in the audience when they were done. PPMS is honored to be a part of this incredibly important and special place” Matthew J. Morris, President PPMS
